Advice on formulating a policy on RVs and EVs.

@Ryan3038 It feels like a selling point to allow RVs to park at your place. You could charge an extra fee for this set at a rate similar to local RV sites. Check out how they deal with electrical costs and do similar.
You might like to stop (or at least charge ) if people want to recharge their electric vehicles - I assume the RV was only charging its leisure batteries and using its heaters etc.

That is a good point. I just don't want it to become an RV park. I am also worried about the additional load that would put on my system. We recently got solar panels too and this would definitely put a damper on our goal of carbon neutrality. But I suppose I could look into it. They were using their leisure batteries. If they were to charge all day that could potentially quadruple our electricity costs too.
@Ryan3038 very rude, if they did not ask .I would put up a sign to say No charging unless negotiated with the host and state that their accomodation does not include it and tell them 'where to go ' for charging... and add a larger fee than the local service centre if they do ask .... H
Yeah we are weighing our options. Super rude. The guests have a brand new Mercedes RV too! A lot of people on Airbnb (mostly electric vehicle owners) are saying that hosts should just eat the costs but to me that's like going the gas station and asking them to waive the fuel costs because you bought something in the gas station store.
@Ryan3038 waiving the cost might make sense at $500/night but makes no sense at all at a normal nightly rate.
Agreed! How would you advise us to charge people for this service? There’s nothing in the app allowing for extra charges like this. We’re currently thinking of adding a 20 dollar per day fee that they can pay us through direct payments through the app.
@Ryan3038 we say people can charge for the cost of electricity from a 13 amp socket and only when it is not raining! Only had one do so thus far.
Ok, yeah we’re thinking of adding an electric vehicle charger too if it’s feasible financially

I think this is a really interesting topic, so I hope you don't mind that I've edited the post title a little, and moved it to another board where I'm hoping we'll see more people join in the discussion.
