Can we create a host profile link to share to other hosts in community?

I am buying an existing airbnb property from a different host. Before closing, Seller wanted me to create a Airbnb host account and share the link. It seems very cumbersome or not possible to create a link to share with seller. 
Does anyone have any tips to share please?

It seems a bit weird why the seller would want you to create a host account and then share the link with them. Are there any specific reasons for it? Are you planning to add the listing on Airbnb later?
