I want to know why my property cannot have beaches as a category. It is basically the main reason people book my space. It is about a 5 minute drive to the beach from my space

If it's a five minute drive to the beach, it's not at the beach.

Airbnb has two beach categories: "beach" and "beachfront". 

Beachfront it appears it has to be "walkable" within so many minutes

Beach can mean within a certain driveable distance

There are many listings in the "beach" category that guests would need to drive to the beach. Only Elevate & Airbnb know the distance they apply when awarding the beach category. I'm sure alot of Hosts would like to know, as they don't qualify for beachfront, but they do qualify for beach based on all the other listings that were awarded that category that are next to them in location.
