Hi Kevin here from Derby in UK. i am very interested in becoming a co-host any guidance on how to achieve this and where to find clients. I have some hospitality experience of my own but want to leverage it and take it further. Anyone ?
Hello @Kevin-Or-Kev0 👋
While other Hosts come across your post and share their opinions, did you know that Hosts can also find a Co-Host available for certain regions through the Airbnb platform?
I wanted to share a useful guide to learn more about the service: How to Find and Become an Experienced Co-Host on Airbnb?
I hope this is helpful 😊
Hi @Paula,
Thanking ever so much for reaching out and responding ! I will have a look and do some learning today and reach back if anything
what do you do yourself ? Are you a co-host ?
Thanking you
As it says on her profile @Kevin-Or-Kev0 Paula is a Community Manager for this community.
Its always difficult to set up a cohosting business when you have no experience as a host. Understandably most hosts want to work with highly experienced cohosts with great reviews and ratings .
i would say start by renting a room build up some great reviews and ratings . Learn how the STR platforms work, understand supply and demands and legal requirements for STRs in the Uk.
Then you will be in a position to start marketing yourself as a cohost .
i am a UK host with nine years experience and four years experience as a cohost .
Hello Helen,
Thank you for your input and advice.
I would love for us to connect and you could potentially mentor me on y journey in becoming a co-host i am really intrigued by your experience and how long you have been doing this.
Thanks
Sorry @Kevin-Or-Kev0 I don't have time to provide mentoring support for other cohosts .
Perhaps there is a cohost in your location that you could pay to mentor you ?
Hello @Helen3,
understood. thank you anyway for your help. do yo have any suggestions as to where i can look for some hosts and sell myself ?
you can set up your own marketing channels and invest in targeted advertising to reach hosts you've identified as your target market in your location @Kevin-Or-Kev0
Thank you Helen for your inputs. Will definitely look into it.
