Co-hosting to different Airbnbs
Hi fellow hosts.
I have one Airbnb of my own. I have been asked to co-host a few others. I would love input.
First co-host opportunity. The owners live outside the state. Right now I am just getting paid for cleaning. The owner answers the guest first communications. But any extra problems or questions I help with.
I want to talk with them if more of a management position. What persentage is fair?
Second co-host opportunity. The owner doesn't want to deal with anything....so what persentage could I ask for there?
Thanks for your input. I am so nervous and excited!
Jess

@Jess155 In the first instance you can request perhaps 10-15% above your cleaning fee. You can advise them of what you would take if full service (see below) and see what they do. If a percentage is not amenable to them, decide on a task sheet, assign values and track your hours for monthly billing, I.E., service calls are $30, replacing supplies or arranging repairs is $25 per hour, etc.
In the second instance, you can probably ask for 20-25% of the entire rental transaction. Find out what a real estate company in your area charges their clients. Where I am, they charge a whopping 30% but all the host ever has to worry about is the arrival of the monthly check from the realtor.
