Contact Airbnb: A Community Help Guide [UPDATED]

This, I believe, is the most common questions on the Community Center.  Below is a "How To" guide on contacting Airbnb.

3 easy ways to contact Airbnb:

  1. Airbnb Community Experts
  2. Via Twitter Direct Message @Airbnbhelp
  3. Calling Airbnb

1. Contacting Airbnb's Community Experts

The easiest and quickest way to get answers to any issues is through contacting Airbnb's Community Experts.  If they cannot answer your question, they have the ability to re-route you to Airbnb Specialist who will have the notes of the conversation you had with the Expert and can usually solve your question.  Please be kind to these Experts as they are not employees of Airbnb and do give their time to assist you in resolving your issue.

Step 1: Visit https://www.airbnb.ca/help/contact_us

Step 2: From the bottom of the screen, choose either "My question is about something else".

Step 3: Follow the prompts to figure out what best describes your issues.  Some things you choose will take you to specific information whereas others you can fill in the text box and submit your question.  Keep trying until you find something that lets you enter your question into a text box.  If you see the box that says "I still need help" at the bottom of the screen, choose that and enter your information.  If the choice you made has nothing to do with your question, please just describe this first and the Expert will still help you.

Once you choose the "I still need help" button, you will get a text box which allows you to enter your information.

When you submit a question, you can expect an answer back from an Airbnb Expert within five minutes but usually less.  If the Community Expert cannot help you, they can re-route your issue to Airbnb who will then contact you.  Airbnb Community Experts do have some access to your reservation information but if it is a question that can only be answered with account information, they will re-route you automatically.  Airbnb Community Experts are available 24/7 and again, usually you will have an answer from them within minutes.

2. Contacting Airbnb Via Twitter

I find the second best and easiest way to contact Airbnb regarding any issues I may be having is by using Twitter.  Airbnb seems to have dedicated staff who monitor their Twitter feeds and I usually hear back from them within 5-10 minutes of posting my isssue.

Step 1: Log into Twitter

Step 2: Search for @Airbnbhelp and choose "Follow" them.

Step 3: Send a Direct Message (DM) explaining your issue and wait for their response.  They may ask for information such as your listing but always provide it over DM so it is not public.

3. Calling Airbnb's Customer Experience Line

***Please note that these phone numbers and any numbers below are meant for URGENT MATTERS so it is best to use the above two methods first***

Here are the phone numbers for Airbnb.  If the area where you are hosting is not listed, check out the two ways below this list in order to find their number for your area.

My review isnt showing and its obvious why. I had literally the WORST experience as a tenant. Windows dont open, washing machine broken, no cutlery, on and on. I ended up only staying 16 nights before leaving. Guess what they charged me? The FULL amount: over 3000 dollars. Unreal. I was so upset. meanwhile, the critical reviw I left? Not showing up. Gee, I wonder why. I am insane with rage over this whole thing, Airbnb is DISGUTSING.

THIS IS THE PLACE: [Link hidden]

BE SURE TO NEVER STAY THERE. I think airbnb just doesnt post critical reviews. When I read the couple of reviews she has up, they are GLOWING. Weird. If anyone has any advice, pls lmk.

I would like to sync my calendars with homeaway

This is a bit stupid because my issue for example only is not related to hosting, or to traveling or to reservations... so I don't even have a starting point... so I have to choose any of these three (to lie) just to maybe, eventually, after three days of diggin to find some mysteriosly hidden box for a message to potentially live person that can help and not a machine or a list of questions and answers not related to my problem... genius solution airbnb.... no comment...

Hi Irena, if you really need to speak to an Airbnb representative:

Did you try the contact link on any help page?

https://www.airbnb.co.uk/help/contact_us#/

there is an option to request a call back.

Hi Neti, thanks for your prompt reply. This is where this link takes me to: "The quickest way to get an answer to your question is to use our Help Centre. There’s information on everything from Airbnb accounts to reservations, cancellations, and more."

And then below option to "contact your host" ... I will contact now this host that they suggested.. let's see if Gilbert can answer why airbnb does not allow me to add paypal as a mathod of payment 😄

I will let you know...

Strange, this is what I saw: +44 203 318 1111

and a link https://www.airbnb.co.uk/help/contact_us#/call_me_back

Did you go to airbnb.co.uk/help and choose the Contact link on the left of the page?

If you're having trouble adding a payment method, if using the app, try the mobile website airbnb.co.uk instead, or if on computer you can try using another browser. That might help.

No.. i cannott reach any of these pages. Whether I copy that address that you gave me, or click on the link you copied I am always redirected to this page that I told you about

That shows this :

Get an answer right away

The quickest way to get an answer to your question is to use our Help Centre. There’s information on everything from Airbnb accounts to reservations, cancellations, and more.

And then below

CONTACT YOUR HOST

If I go to "HELP CENTER" I reach the page you already know very well that cannot help me and in the bottom there is a button "CONTACT US". If I click on that button I am sent all the way back to "contact your host" and the text that I already copied here to you... I really don't understand.... but tomorrow I will try one of those numbers that somebody put somewhere... and I will try to do it from the phone lilke you suggested.

Thank you very much for your kind help 🙂

Best,

Ok, just to let you know that I reachd them on the phone (UK number) and the girl that picked up was very nice and kind. She did everything she can to help. I still haven't sovled my issue but she said she will get back to me. And they even called me on my Bosnian number from the UK...

Thank you all for the support ..a and for the list of the phone numbers...

Irena, that's realy good news!  Sometimes a phone call really is the best.  Neti

Hi I have been trying to use the contact host form but when I scroll down to type my message and dates, the form disappears back to the listing. Cannot seem to find answer to this dilemma and really need to book for upcoming trip asap. Messaged Lizzie twice - no answer.

Can you tell me what I am doing wrong. Greatly appreciate your help.

Unfortunately your suggestions do not work .

Over the last two days I have spent HOURS ( probably around 12 !) trying to contact Airbnb.

First I tried  emails. Thats not much help because the automated response is "we will attend to your query with 24 hours". That is no help when you are looking for immediate help.

I then tried the community. After going from one link to another to another all I achieved was intense frustration and no suitable answers. Amazingly the most relevant conversations had been closed to further responses.

I then tried calling. This is rather expensive as there is no office in South Africa so I made an international call. The prompts made no sense to me as you needed me to press a pound symbol and you required a verification code ??????

Today the "answers" arrived to my emails. Neither of them actually answered my questions and the emails ended with "this conversation is now closed".

Twitter next! I do not use twitter and by that stage the last thing I wanted to do was go through loading another app on my phone, registering and so on.

Emails to Airbnb arrived too late. Neither of which addressed my questions and both ended with "this conversation is now closed"!

If someone could help me make contact please reply. Thank you

I have no way of contacting Airbnb about an underpayment , I just get a blank page when I press I need help!!!

Just call them!  Best way.
