Do you offer a parking spot to your guests?

do you offer parking to yur guests_.jpeg

Hello everyone, Alex here.👋

We all know that guests can arrive at your accommodation in many different ways. For those arriving by taxi, it’s easy for them because they don’t need to worry about where to park. But for those arriving at your listing by car, do you offer parking?

We have hosts from all kinds of areas, from bustling city centers to remote and quiet places, each with different advantages and characteristics!

One question that often arises from guests is about parking... I would love to know how you all handle it!

Is this information clearly mentioned in your listing, or do you wait until the booking is completed to communicate it? 🗣
Do you provide a parking spot on your property, or do you recommend nearby parking options?

We look forward to your thoughts and any tips on how to manage parking!🅿️

Whether you have parking or not, please share your opinions and thoughts in the comments!
Best regards,
Alex

We are a farm - 100% on using car to arrive. We offer larger barnyard (gravel) to park in plus a 2 car garage in the  house. Itis advantage when having living off highway.

Hello @June-Anne0!

Thank you for sharing your personal example with us. This is great! Apart from driving, how do other guests without cars arrive at your accommodation? 🏡

Hi Alex,

The location of my appartement is in a resort close to the beach with many other hotels so parking spots are paid.

It is important to mention this explicitly in the listing so that the guests know what to expect. Unless the parking price will be absorbed in the price, but that would be unfair for the guests who do not arrive by car.

Hi @Kremena9

Thank you for sharing this valuable experience. From what I can see, you communicate a lot with your guests so they don't get false hope about the parking situation, and this is great for you as a host. 🤗 Are there any possibilities nearby for free parking? 🅿️

Best,

Alex

Hi @Alex

Thanks for your kind reply.
Unfortunately it is a resort area so there are not enough parking spots. Therefore they are paid.

But at the property’s parking, there is also surveillance and assistance so it is a good arrangement for the guests.

Thank you for you answer, @Kremena9! 🤗

I'm sure that this assistance will be really appreciated by guests. 🅿️

We manage more than 70 listings on Airbnb, each one of them have highlighted the parking options, street parking, paid parking, or no parking.

It is something who could bring more bookings or not, but it is better to keep it clear on your listing or cancellations, bad reviews will be happening because of it.

Hi @Laura466!

Thank you for participating in the conversation. Do you think that having parking available will lead to more bookings? 🚗

Hi Alex

Our Airbnb is in a rural location with loads of parking available at front and rear of property so not an issue. We're very lucky I guess.

If I was looking to stay at an Airbnb I must admit parking is pretty high on my wish list so would look for information on this straight away. It could potentially be a deal breaker for me but everyone has different priorities.

I think it's a good idea to give honest information to manage expectations.

Hope this helps

I agree with your answer 100%, @Julie6621.I think parking is a key factor, and being communicative and transparent can help a lot with guests.

It's brilliant that you have so much space available in your listing. How many cars can your space fit? 🚗

I ensure that all of my properties include parking, with the number of spaces based on how many guests the home sleeps. In some areas, it’s required, but no matter the location, it’s always a nice convenience for guests. While parking may not always be expected, especially in busy cities where people rely on public transportation/Uber..it’s always a nice perk.

I have had multiple guests specifically ask about the parking accommodations, so clearly it’s an amenity which can attract more bookings. Furthermore, this is a great way to set a good first impression of the home. You don’t want your guest arriving to your home late at night and be forced to park far away because all the parking spots are taken.

This a really great point, @Laurell7It's always convenient for guests to be able to arrive by car to the listings.

Do the parking spots that you include come for free, or do they require a fee? 🚗

Best,
Alex

Hi Alex,

We have undercover parking at our condo as well as EV Charging. We have it mentioned in our listing.

That's brilliant, @Jenny2149. I'm sure this is a great plus for you guests.

Do they need a key in order to access the parking? If not, what's the process for them to access it when they arrive? Do you meet with them personally first? 🚗
