๐Ÿก ๐Ÿ›Œ Emoji support in listing title

It's 2017.. competition is fierce. How do you make your listing stand out? I thought that would be emojis but it seems if you use emojis on airbnb it breaks your listing's title and just becomes blank (try at your own risk).

That being said, I would like to see support for emojis.

Hi Solveig, please share with me if you know how to add yellow star โญ in my Airbnb title? This is the rare conversation related to this. Or anybody else who is reading.. Thank you

They accept the same emojis that you can use in a word document, so things like โ˜… โ˜ผ โ™ฅึŽ

Just Copy and Paste it.

Like I did in my listing given below, have a look.

Given that guests increasingly communicate with emoji, it is exceedingly silly that the Airbnb app not only has no support for emoji, it doesn't give the raw Unicode so you can at least Google the emoji to determine what it is. I have had many guests send emoji and have no idea what they are saying. Airbnb!! Please please please fix this!

I hate the use of emojis. I never have any idea what they mean... I love words. Precise words.

Anyone knows something about the symbols and emojis being in violation of Airbnb's content policies?

https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/546/what-is-airbnb-s-content-policy

I read this:

"The following are violations specific to the type of the content on Airbnb:

Listing Titles

  • Listing titles that do not serve the purpose of providing information relevant to the listing type, style, or experience
  • Listing titles that include symbols or emojis"

Does Airbnb enforce it, I don't want to wake up some day and find that my listings have been deactivated.

Thoughts?

Just saw this. I don't even know. I have been using symbols for a while now.

I found this thread while looking for that exact thing actually.  I have  acompetitor in my area who uses them in all of his listings and I knew I had read before that it was not allowed.  I was trying to find if it provides a correct way to report it.  But from seeing everything here maybe I should just add some to mine instead...?

You would report someone to Airbnb for emojis in their listing? Yikes.

Why would you report? Like really? Wow ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

Sorry, I couldn't delete the message so this is to indicate that I deleted my reply.

Hi everyone here,

if you want to add emoji go on **

I can see that not all emoji are showing in the listing title. I can still see them in the listing dashboard and in the inbox.

I am talking with Airbnb support to know more and will update this post.
