House if for sale AFTER we entered into agreement

My friend and I rented a property for a few weeks from a homeowner.  We blocked the time and paid in advance.  We have taken occupation of the rental for our designated period of time.  After the rental cancellation date, the owner informed us that the house was on the market and she would have showings. We stated that we would try to accommodate but we are second guessing this, especially since we have a showing at 930 in the morning after someone gets in from a very late flight.  None of us are comfortable with having to 'leave the house as it was left to us' aka in real estate viewing state, for the duration of our multi-week stay.  We also are not comfortable with someone entering the house where our possession are. There is not a real-estate lock box on the door and we are being given 24 or less hours notice.  The rental is located in New Orleans. Does the owner have the right to demand that we make the home available to for showings? Thank you.

@Erin9210  This sounds very wrong and unfair.. I am sorry you are dealing with this on your holiday.

Was this booking made via Airbnb?  You state  you rented from homeowner. If it is through Airbnb this is not allowed.  You can call Airbnb customer service and I am sure they would echo the same.  

If not through Airbnb,  I would not allow entry for showings if I could help it.  The 24 hour notice you mention is typically for "tenants" and not transient rentals. Was there anytype of rental agreement signed?  If so there may be some language in there about entry however it's usually reserved for emergencies such as plumbing and mechanicals.
