How can I enter Notes as a managing co=host????

This is a TERRIBLE change to the app platform!!
I manage 7 airbnb units for different owners....and it's impossible for me to function without adding detailed notes to the platform about each guests!!! How can I create notes as a manager????

Hi @June286

You can still add notes to bookings if you click the reservation and add the note there.

The problem is you can't add notes to unbooked or blocked nights on the regular calendar now.

To add notes to all types of nights, you'll have to use the professional tools multi-calendar (which only works on a desktop).

We hope the regular calendar will be fixed.

As a property manager do you not use STR management software to help manage your STR business where you can add notes ? @June286

Good morning @June286   As @Helen3  mentioned, with 7 listings you should be using some type of PMS channel manager.  I use OwnerRez and it keeps me very organized.  Using a PMS you have a little more control over your listings.  You can collect damage deposits, use rental agreements and have all your guests contact info in the event something goes south with the platform.

Karen

Thanks Karen - I am merely a local co-host and do not receive the payments from the guests, as all the listings are in the Owners names who are part-time residents.  Therefore, I am not able to use a PMS program.
It does get a little intense at times, especially managing the Owners friends and family stays which are all off the Airbnb platforms. I need to make notes on these as they are reservations.

Losing the ability to make notes and also to review past notes on the platform is VERY disruptive to managing everything. Definitely a bad move by Airbnb, but I guess they want to control/restrict how people manage their properties much more closely.

@June286  I thank god everyday for my channel manager.  It's so nice to be able to see everything in one place. I couldn't imagine trying to manage multiple listings without this.

Here's a thought.. Do you use Google Calender?  You could sync each ical calendar into google calendar for each listing.  I have this as back up redundancy for 8 listings in the event my PMS goes down.   This allows me to see names, dates of stay and the ability to add notes in the description area.  These are also some Note Apps that integrate with the calendar.

  • Note Plan
This app offers a combined workspace for tasks, notes, and calendar events, with direct integration to view and create Google Calendar events within the app.

  • Evernote
Evernote allows you to sync your Google Calendar, create notes for events, and link notes to events, providing a centralized hub for your schedule and notes.

  • Amplenote
Amplenote is another strong contender for an all-in-one solution, offering calendar integration with two-way sync for Google, Outlook, and Apple Calendars.

  • Fellow App
Fellow focuses on meeting notes and integrates with Google Calendar, linking meeting notes to calendar events.

  • Todoist Todoist lets you see calendar events alongside tasks and sync tasks with Google
Karen

Awesome!  Thank you!
I do use Google calendar and I'd have to learn how to sync with the listings.
Do I do this for each individual listing?

I SO AGREE WITH YOU!!!! I just saw that I can't add notes and with friends and family stays that are not part of the airbnb platform this is very difficult to manage.  not happy at all.

Is there any way to escalate this issue to AirBnb? I badly missed this option too

@June286

You CAN add notes and read notes on past dates (including those on blocked dates AND reservations) using the multicalendar. I'm assuming you are using the multi-calendar and professional tools? The downside is the multi-calendar is only available on a computer; not the App.

Here is an example of a note added to dates for Memorial Day. It is greyed-out as dates have past, but the note is still readable:
