How long does it take for a new listing to become publicly visible?

I have recently listed my property, however i just cant seem to find it on airbnb.  It does not appear on the map or any lisitings from the area i search under.  Does it take a few days before it becomes active?  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

@Gay11 It can take up to 72 hours for new listings to be visible and bookable on Airbnb.  Many listings go live sooner than that but the maximum would be 72 hours.  Please check your link again after that amount of time has passed since you published your listing.

It was aproblem with security checks I think and not having loaded id.  It would be nice if it actually said that instead of leaving us sitting like lemons waiting for our listing which will never appear!

I think my listings were deleted or blocked due to fraud checks.  For anyone else with this problem:  Check all verification options for phone email and id.  I had to upñoad my passport (as photo id) in addition to my profile pic.  Then I had to take a live selfie which it then compared to my other pics.  3 attempts before I got one to match.  I understand it also checks a variety of things to make sure the listing looks real.  In my case I wrote that refurbishments were in progress so I had a disproportionate number of external pics to inside ones.  So check for anything that might cause them to consider your listing a scam.  They won't tell you this is happening but they will call you free and help you resolve it if you persevere.  Jonathon was the chap that helped me.  I had a few wasted calls till he helped.  I was told up to 72 hours to wait but it took less than an hour once I corrected the issues.

I am experiencing the same! First one disappeared! Second one is not visible for more than 12 hours now!

I too am having problems finding my listing.  It is still not up some 6 hours later, and there appears to be no reason for this.  All photos up; my photo up, telephone sms text ID done; shows green dot beside listing and still nothing.  My main concern is that this is the peak period for earning.  What else can I do??  Please.

I’m getting exactly the same issue here. I shared my listing with my friends and they could see it but I just couldn’t find it on the map. How did yours get resolved eventually?

Hello @Duncan19,

You allow instant book but I'm not sure if you searched with or without the instsnt book filter turned on.

I searched, with the instant book filter turned off and while logged out from my account, for "Entire place" accommodation in Summer Hill. Your listing showed up onec I centered the map on ypur location and soomed in a bit.

If I then search with the instant book filter turned on your listing disappears from the map. It appears again if I turn the instant book filter off again. This issue has been reported here recently by some instant bookk hosts.

You could try contacting support to discuss the issue

I had listed out two days back .... the last part was giving the bank details which was given . The message that came was that " account details recieved will be reviewed and send a confirmation by email. once you have confirmed your bank details, you can start hosting. Bank verification is required part of listing your space". 

Its been two days since, didnt receive any email verification for the bank details.

I checked my small town by City and state, it appears on my phone, but while checking  on friends and family phones, it only provides two pages about 15 locations and all towns surrounding my town. My town has only two listings, I see the post stating 72 hours or three days for public viewing, today is Sunday so I'll check back Wednesday. I live in a small town, so I expect if surrounding towns pop up first, that when I search my specific town in 3 days it should pop up as well. If not, who can I contact and is there an extra fee for making my home viewable to the public?

There is usually a delay of around 6 hours between the time you publish a listing and when it shows up in search results. This gives you time to make final changes to your listing settings before receiving your first booking request. It also gives Airbnb time to ensure every new listing is suitable for the marketplace. If you don’t see your listing within 24 hours, you can contact customer support to find out why.
