How often do you re-do your listing photos?

It’s easy to forget about your listing photos once your place is up and running, but small updates like new bedding, fresh flowers, or better lighting can make a big difference.

Swapping in a few new shots every season keeps things feeling fresh and gives guests a true sense of your space. Plus, if you’ve made any changes recently, your photos should reflect that. It doesn’t have to be a full reshoot, just a quick refresh.

When was the last time you updated your photos? What usually makes you decide it’s time?

We had professional photos taken for our listing at initial launch. As things have evolved we have replaced individual photos as needed with photos we have taken to ensure the photos are accurate (ie new appliances or an updated furniture arrangement, new furniture, etc). 

We just have had the professional photographer back to re-take shots of spaces that we did a renovation in (kitchen, mudroom & bathrooms). Not the whole house just specific rooms. 

So, we sort of have a rolling group of professional and host photos as a method to keep the overall listing accurate.

For me, I want the listing to be accurate and so when bigger items change that prompts a new photo needed.  If we replaced a chair with a similar chair I might not worry but when we added a seating arrangement where one didn't exist previously we updated the photo.

I like to change out things every year so I delete and add photos every year.
