How to add my TRIP to my Google Calendar

I have booked trips before on AirBnB and am sure that at least some of them automatically synced with my Google Calendar so the details of my TRIP appeared in the Calendar. I 'think' that Gmail might have done it automatically for me when I opened my booking confirmation email, but cannot be sure. My latest reservation did not appear in my calendar and I cannot find a way to insert it (without creating my own entry manually in the Calendar). Please note that I am not a host and therefore do not have an AirBnB calendar that might sync with my Google Calendar. Is there a function or a way to do this?

I discovered a hack for this which is to add yourself again as a guest to your reservation, using a different email. Showed up in my calendar right away!

I travel a lot and always book places to stay with the help of AirBnbn.

This isn't relevant to the conversation at all.

@Nick774's solution was best option for me. Multi-stay itinerary must be throwing off google travel/calendar or something.

Hello! I also had issues with a booking not showing in my Google calendar. I had checked https://www.google.com/travel/ and it was not there (but my flights and other reservations were).

Long story short, what I did was:

  1. Under "Upcoming trips", I clicked on "View details"
  2. Clicked on "Add to trip"
  3. Clicked on "Hotel" (which I was sure would not work)
  4. In the "Hotel name" field, I pasted the AirBnB listing's name - to my surprise, it did show in the dropdown
  5. Selected the AirBnB and checked that the listing details (address, host phone number etc) were correct (most of them were!) - so I was sure I had the correct listing. I only had to adjust the checkout date.
  6. Added my confirmation code for good measure
  7. Save

After saving, the listing was instantly displayed in my Google calendar.

Hope this helps!

Great tip! It only works if the listing is in there though. I ended up entering the data manually, no big deal.

Hi. I have been having the same problem. My work around is to install TripIt on my phone. This app acts as a bridge between my gmail inbox and my google calendar. Trips and airline purchase that i do online will appear on TripIt once i open the confirmation emails. TripIt then syncs its calendar with my google calendar. I believe other travel apps does the same thing. Hope this works for you as well.

I just spoke to someone at ABnB and they don't support synch or export of calendar information for Trips.  They do with the Hosting calendar but not for Trips.  I swear I used to see my ABnB trips pop up on my Google calendar but I could be remembering something else.  The support person I spoke with told me there is no plan to allow calendar synching between ABnB Trips and other accounts.  Kind of a bummer but pretty easy to just cut and paste the info.  Seems like such an easy thing to provide but maybe with changing reservations and not releasing the actual location until 48 hrs prior to reservation it just leads to too much misinformation getting transferred around.

yes I remember my airbnb trips used to be able to synch with Ical on man.. Not sure what has happened now Very annoying

I have had some trips sync and some not. It was driving me crazy. Glad it’s not just me. The synced trips are unable to have the dates edited. So weird.

mine used to as well. this last one did not add and didn't give me the option if I clicked the email hamburger (3 dots) as it used to be able to do that as well.

it did add it to my TRip It calander though..weird..
