I am getting no interest for my listing - I need some feedback

I am renting my house for 4 months while I'm away and I have no interest in one month of listing.

I want to make sure I understand your situation: are you trying to rent your house for one month at a time during these 4 months or are you looking for shorter stays? Once we have more clarity, other hosts will likely be able to give you some more advice based on their experience. 😊

@Rebecca Ideally I would like to rent once or fewer times for longer periods. I would love to rent once for the entire four months that I'm gone. I will not be here in Canada, Ottawa - I will be in Mexico. I do not have a team that cleans up and handles changing after each guest. I probably should get that.

Congratulations: you have a very nice house.
If I were you and I wanted to rent the house for the entire 4 months that you will be in Mexico, I would rely on a trusted person who was from and about the place and who could intervene immediately if there were any important needs. I don't know how it works in Canada but I think there are agencies that offer these services. Your income would probably be less than your aspertative but at least you would have the certainty that everything is going well.

HI I think that Giuseppe should be satisfied with renting for less than four months to just one person. Because if something were to happen and he isn't there it would be a disaster.

Ciao Joseph2543, se la traduzione è corretta tu vuoi affittare per i quattro mesi in cui tu non ci sei. Due cose incidono sull'  interesse da parte di eventuali guest, per la tua casa : è una casa con 5 posti letto quindi una coppia o una persona singola non la sceglierà e poi il periodo di quattro mesi riduce il campo di chi puo abitarla. Dovresti ridurre ad esempio a 15 gg. o un mese al massimo. Non conosco Gatineau dove è situata ma devi farcnascere il desiderio di abitare a casa tua.

Hi Joseph2543,

I’m from Toronto and getting semi long term guests has been harder. There are way more listings than before and just not a lot of interest in general.

That being said you can change your maximum number to guests to 6. In the description it says 6 but on the availability is 5 so whoever searching for 6 guests probably can’t see your listing.
Also instead of 45 nights minimum, maybe try 30. Lastly is price. Compare what’s available for accommodating 6 around your area and set it a bit lower.
