I cannot get my room listings to show up as "room"

My property is listed as entire space and each individual bedroom is also a separate room listing. if I zoom the map in far enough to force them to be displayed and do a search (in a private tab or on another browser) all 5 listings show up but if I try to filter the listings when I select 'room' they all disappear. 'entire home' properly only shows the listing for the whole place, and 'any type' shows all 5 listings, but 'room' seems to break the search.I've combed through my listings trying to see if there are any features I needed to select or deselect on my end. but I cannot seem to find the problem. I contacted chat support and they didn't seem to care. there reply was basically 'we did a search and your properties showed up' they sent screen shots, but they never selected the 'room' filter in their searches.

Support called me on the phone today, they where able to repeat the flaw. Confirmed that it shouldn't happen and escalated it. I'll update if they figure it out.

Escalation said it was a known issue, caused by a recent upgrade. Apparently they're "working on it"...

If anyone in the community knows a workaround to get a space to show up as a "room" please let me know.I saw in a similar thread about the opposite problem (entire place listings showing up as rooms) someone figured out that by changing property type from "house" to "guest house" could be used to make the listing show up right in search until the real issue got fixed.

So... anyone know which listings always show as "room"?

This is most likely happened because "Rooms" is a Category and a search filter. Airbnb made some recent changes and they removed categories from location searches and since Rooms is a Category, I'm guessing that also went by the wayside when they removed categories from location searches....Catch 22. Rooms is also a Filter for property type, but when Airbnb removed the Category "Rooms" that might be causing issues. This is just a guess.

I'm guessing someone at Airbnb didn't really think that software change through. 

Try searching as a guest in your location and you'll see the entire categories strip at the top is no longer visible.

Keep in mind that in the map view, the algorithm will show all the listings in the same place (as I'm assuming since they are rooms in the same house, the address of the listings is the same). Only by zooming in will you maybe see multiple bubbles. You could try slightly moving the map pin on each listing so they don't overlap on top of each other. That will only work if you have had any reservations though. Otherwise, Airbnb would need to move the map pin for you.

Same problem here, tried contacting the chat support and explained the situation several times and they didn't get to resolve the problem. Even though I explained the situation clearly and in a detailed way they kept thinking that I was complaining that my room was not appearing in the top searches and kept me giving tips so I could bring my listing to a higher position. It's honestly very frustrating to deal with Airbnb when they can't help you deal with something that should be simple or at least understand your problem and help you solve it. We tried everything and our room only shows in "any type" of place.

I have exactly the same problem. My room does not show if I select "room" but only if I select "any type". What do I need to do?
