Has anyone had their instant book setting change without them changing it.
My listing was set for 24 hour notice and good track record.
A guest was able to book same day and had just created their account 4 days before. Account was created that month and it was the 4th of the month.
Needless to say this guest was not a good guest.
I just want to know if this has happened to anyone else. Is this something I need to continue to monitor?

Hey @Emily2097, I'm sorry to hear that this has happened - I was wondering if you reached out to Airbnb Support to report the issue you're experiencing? If not, I’d highly recommend you contact them through the Help Centre: https://www.airbnb.co.uk/help/?audience=guest
YESS!!!! I turn instant book off on my LTR because I want to control my calendar to avoid long gaps. Yet somehow, this setting keeps getting reset to ALLOW instant booking. It is costing me money and pissing me off!!
@Emily2097 Yes, I've seen plenty of threads in the CC of hosts saying that settings have been changed without their knowledge. Enough threads that it seems like a thing, and definitely worthy of ongoing monitoring.
As to the other issue, AirBnB uses deceptive wording with the terminology of "good track record."
While common sense would have most people interpret that as stated, AirBnB's interpretation is "no negative track record." That means that if a guest doesn't have any negative reviews, or no reviews at all, i.e. NO track record, AirBnB considers that a good track record and allows them to IB.
They make money off of guests booking, so they make it as ridiculously easy as possible, and then the host has to deal with the outcome.
