@Neha189

Congratulations!  Very cute room.

Suggestions

Change max occupabcy to 2 Guests.  I know you are welcoming a child for a crib.  Airbnb does not count "Infants" 2 and younger towatds Guest count.  By setting 4 you could receive 4 adults and 2 infants, not your intent. lol

Use the Airbnb New Lissting Discount.  Very efffective.

Especially if welcoming children, smoke detector in bedroom.  Inexpensive online purchase now some you just plug in.

Guests want to see pictures of the kitchen, dining area, and laundry area  That is the selling point instead of a hotel room.

The Ad itself gives you about 5 pages to provide information, use them.

The potential Guest why your space?  Great for a sight, near a special hospital relatives of a patient, or a lot of contract workers?  Everyone has different highlights they are looking for you have to tell them you have and maybe things they didn't think of.

Hi Emilie -

Thank you so much for reaching out.  I just checked out @Neha189 listing.  It looks like a cute area.   I think it looks peaceful and I love your outdoor space pictures.  I would maybe recommend posting more pictures of the bedroom (maybe all 4 walls, and the one with the drapes open look most inviting).  Also, are there any blankets?  Maybe an accent blanket at the bottom of the bed.  And, maybe a little plant, or greenery on the bedside table.  I would also add pictures of the linens in the bathroom.  While it looks super clean, maybe adding a soap dispenser, and linens will make it more inviting and/or comfortable.  I hope this is helpful and you get many bookings!!!!  🙂

Thank you,

Jeanna

Thanks @Jeanna27 for popping by with a few suggestions!

I like the idea of the decor touches you suggested -do you have tips on picking an accent colour? Are there any useful tools to find inspiration or is it more down to preferences? I moved a month ago and decor is on my mind so your insights might be handy both for @Neha189 and myself 🤗

Oh, thank you so much!  I'm happy to help.  I think it comes down to personal preferences, however warm colors are coming back, so maybe got that route.  For @Neha189 - I personally would maybe do a darker blanket on the end of the bed with a splash of red in it.  (I'm assuming that's the color of her drapes in that bedroom).  Anyways, just a suggestion.

I tend to lean towards cooler colours myself but you've inspired me to consider warmer ones @Jeanna27  ... just in time for the autumnal change of colours in the UK as well! 😃

@Neha189 What do you think about those little decor ideas?

Hi @Emilie ,

I am really considering all the suggestions, since the room is huge and the sitting area has sliding glass doors, there's no option to do any decor on walls but yes, we can put up big planters.Also will add porch photos and a blanket too.

Hi @Jeanna27 ,

Thank you for wonderful insights, definitely will add more photos as suggested by you.

Have a happy day 🙂

Hi Jeanna,

@Neha189

Welcome to hosting! Your listing caught my eye—it’s such a unique setting, and I love that you’re opening up your space for travelers to enjoy the peace of the farm. It already feels warm and inviting.

I’d like to share a couple of ideas that might help highlight the beauty of your place even more:

  • A freshly laid bedspread in photos always gives guests that cozy “ready to stay” feeling.

  • A little extra shine in the bathroom tiles can make the whole space feel brighter.

  • Retaking a few photos with natural light and simple angles might really show off the charm of the room and surroundings.

It already looks like a wonderful retreat, and with just a few small touches I think it will shine even more. Wishing you every success as you welcome your guests. I’m sure many nature lovers will feel right at home.

Regards
Iffat

Hello @Neha189 ,
You have a beautiful outdoor space — I must say, it looks lovely! Regarding your Airbnb listing, I’d recommend adding higher-quality photos, especially clear pictures of the bathrooms. It would also be great to include more details about your property and the surrounding area in the description. Adding a bit more information will really help your listing stand out to potential guests.

@Ranveer1 Thank you for your valuable feedback, I have few more things coming up on the property, post that will call for a professional photographer. Point well taken!! 🙂

Hi @Neha189

When you have some time, it's always good (especially when you're starting out and wondering where to pitch things) to search your immediate area, see where your listing comes up, and identify some similar listings that do well and offer a comparable stay. I wouldn't recommend copying what others do, but rather just get a sense of what guests are responding to in your area to decide which aspects of your own listing you want to focus on. Hope it helps a bit!
