Lake Tahoe Host : Cleaning, Maintenance, How to manage from a far. 

I'm not a new host. However, I used to have a property manager who handled all of the  Cleaning, Meet & Greet, Check-in/Check Out, Linen Hire and Laundry. Now that I'm renting 70% on my own through Airbnb he is not making enough to continue in that. Problem is I'm not sure how to pick all of that up and I dont live anywhere near the property. 

I know companies like Pillow handle this. However, they are not in the Lake Tahoe area yet. My main concern is managing the cleaning people and finding good ones.

Can anyone recommend a service to help manage this and can anyone recommend cleaning people, maintenance people in the Lake Tahoe area (Stateline NV) ?

We just got landlord protector insurance thru farmers! That covers short and long term rentals. I have heard that not many companies handle short term vacation rentals, risk wise...

I'm jumping into this forum late... Just wanted to let other readers know that Allstate just started providing the type of insurance for short term rentals. I don't even know what that provision is called but the agent was familiar with it and told us Allstate had just started offering that provision.

I am looking for a new cleaning service for my house in Tahoe which I manage from the bay area.  I prefer to work with someone local.  I had a good cleaner but she recently moved away.  I am looking for someone trustworthy who will clean the house between rentals and do the laundry.

My place is located in town and easy to access. If you know of a good service, or have one that you are using and could refer,   I would be very grateful for the referral.

How are folks dealing with garbage? Truckee has Tuesday garbage pick up and my renters are going crazy w/ garbage.  Ive left instructions to use the trash compactor, use blue bags for recycling, etc.

Im looking for suggestions on how to better manage garbage with larger groups.  Your suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I have been using a service that is targeted at exactly what you are talking about. I saw that someone above mentioned Vacation Rental Assistants which is great but they really only service the South Lake Tahoe area. I found http://tahoerentalmanagement.com/ which services North Lake and offers two different service levels. One is dedicated for owners that want to be involved while the other is more geared for owners that want to do little to nothing except cash a check. I have been using the hands off service which has thus far worked wonders.

I'm looking at the web page of http://tahoerentalmanagement.com/ . It says the fee includes "Organize Cleaning". Does it mean it only schedules the cleaning but the actually house cleaning is not included?
