I’m a host based in Noida, UP. I’ve been hosting on Airbnb for the past year without issues, it hasn't caused issues with society in anyway.
To regularize my listing, I tried registering with the Ministry of Tourism under the “Incredible India Bed & Breakfast/Homestay Scheme,” but that needs approval of RWA/AOA. But now my AOA, saying short-term rentals should not be run in the society.
My concern is: multiple commercial activities are already being run from residential units in the same society, and those are not being opposed. Even there are few PGs. The objection seems specific to my Airbnb/short-term rentals.
So, my question is to the HOST OF NOIDA or anywhere in India who has faced objections from RWA/AOA. What can we do to legally run it?
1. Has anyone in Noida/UP faced similar RWA objections to Airbnb hosting?
2. How did you handle society approvals or manage to run it without RWA/AOA Objection?
3. Is Ministry of Tourism registration mandatory to host legally in UP, or is there any other local license that can obtained without AOA approval?
