Listing a self catering cottage

I just built a cottage in my garden with external toilet and shower. Considering I am new, can I list this accommodation and apply for STL license retrospectively? Can I go ahead and just list this accommodation?

A cottage is a splendid thing! Have you contacted the planning/zoning/business licensing department of your municipality yet? They should be your first stop, able to answer these questions, and get you properly set up to do business.

1. Have you got planning permission for an STR

2. Look at the STR guidance on Glasgow Councils website . You may face fines if you list without a license or find you can't set up a listing without a license number
