Mandated mnimum night requirement?

I received this message from Air BnB  when trying to adjust my minimum night requirement: "You can only host long-term stays (28 nights or more)"

Has anyone come across this ? I'm trying to list my place for a few nights - unsure why this message is appearing. I'm based in Toronto in-case local laws has something to do with this.

Usually you would receive that message because that is the requirement by the government that controls the laws where your listing is located.

Thanks or clarifying Marie. I came across a local law that requires hosts to get registered with their city.
