Hi there, I’m really sorry you’re going through this — that’s definitely a tough situation after hosting for so long.

If your co-host has taken control of your Airbnb account or changed your access, you’ll need to contact Airbnb Support directly as soon as possible. Here’s what to do:

  1. Go to Airbnb.com/help/contact-us.
  2. Choose “My account” → “I can’t access my account.”
  3. Explain that your co-host has taken over and you’ve lost access. Include details like your account email, property address, and proof you’re the owner/primary host (for example, utility bills, ID, or payout statements).

If you can’t log in at all, try using the Help Center while logged out — there’s an option to report a compromised account. Airbnb’s safety team can review ownership and restore control once they verify your identity.

I know it’s stressful, but the sooner you report it, the faster they can lock your account and get it back to you.

Wishing you a quick resolution — keep us posted so we know you’re back up and running. 💪

Unfortunately, if you allowed the Co Host to setup the listing under their name as Owner, you will have to start over and create a new listing. All the reviews will also stay with the Co Host.

My suggestion is to go to the property and change the locks to prevent any additional guests from entering on existing reservations. Then you will have to get an attorney to file suite against the Co Host. Be sure to also notify Airbnb that you are the actual owner, but they will not be able to shutdown the listing based on your say-so.
