My condo has a smart lock, but the building requires a key

This means that guests cannot self-check in. BUT I have a smart lock, and I want them to have a code automatically set up by AirBnb. Does anybody know how to accomplish this without saying anything about self check in in the listing?

What I had to do so that I could have the codes from AirBnb:

- I had to say it has a smart lock

- I added in the notes that you need to check in with someone

This seems misleading, and I don't want to do that, but if I say "Host greets you", the guest and the system won't know my condo has a smart lock, and I won't get the automatically generated codes.

Help!

Hello @Lucia2682,that's a very interesting question. It took me some time to envision the situation 😅. I wanted to reach out to some of our awesome members who have been chatting about smart locks in our Community. They might have some good advice to share with you @Nur785 @Christine3142 and @Pat271 .

Good luck.
