My listing is not showing, when I search the area and the days when it's available

Hello,

I created a new listing yesterday: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/998346760899657723

It is marked as 'Listed' so I would expect it to appear in searches.
Since I just created it, it is available from 1 Nov 2023 to 31 Dec 2023.
When I search this date range (1 Nov to 31 Dec), and focus on the area where it is located on the map (just the city of Antibes), it doesn't appear in the result of the search...

In my search, I select the above dates, select 'Entire home', select '2 bedrooms' & '2 beds'
(even if I don't select 'Entire home', select '2 bedrooms' & '2 beds' my listing still doesn't appear, it just makes the search easier as my apartment matches or should match these criteria)
I'm also wondering why the ID is so long (18 digits, when it's usually more like 8-9 digits).

Could you please advise ?

Thank you

Nicolas

Hello @Nicolas1989

Your listing is indeed live but please be aware that your calendar is available for bookings until end of March not end of December.

To be honest, I am not very surprised that your listing is not being chosen by the Airbnb algorithm since it favours listings that offer the most flexibility for guests.  You have a minimum stay of 10 days which is a lot even in the high season.   Being from around the corner in Cannes, I'm pretty familiar with the market and most hosts have a 2-3 day minimum stay for this time of the month.

Competition for our area is huge and there are over 1000 listings on offer for Antibes but only 15 pages of listings get selected by the algorithm so we have to do our best to make our properties as attractive as possible.  As a newcomer, your listing will get bumped by the algorithm but this 10 night minimum stay is going to be a problem because if a guest puts in dates with a 5 day stay, your listing will not show up.  Most people put in dates when they search.

Have a look at similar listings to yours to see what their minimum stay is and price levels to see if your are in line with them.

All the best

Joëlle
