Hello Jatinder -

My hosting situation is a bit different that yours.   We host our home in Oaxaca, Mexico.

At our home, our minimum guest stay is one month.

We prefer longer stays, as it is less wear and tear on the house, and we don't have to check guests in every few days.

We have been very happy with guests who stay at least one month or longer.

Best,

John

Hi Jatinder!

Are you concerned about it being a longer rental? We usually keep ours a short term rental.

I see you’re in the Long Island area by the beaches, would this be the off season for you?

A 2 month rental could be good if it’s your off season! How are her reviews? The reason sounds plausible for a longer rental.

You may want to consider a more formal rental contract if it’s 2 months.

Best of luck!

Contract is a good point. Thanks Laura.

Good point. Thanks Helen.

Hello @Jatinder8

i suggest to familiarize yourself with local tenant and landlord laws. Depending on your location, there may be specific regulations governing the eviction of guests from short term rentals. If necessary, consult with a legal expert to understand your rights and obligations.

Thanks Patricia.
