I notice that the calendar formatting has suddenly changed without notice. The new layout is really terrible and hard to navigate - almost unworkable. Who thought this was a good idea? How about communicating with the hosts and getting their feedback before arbitrarily changing an important tool like this? Not happy!
is your compaint about the Listing calender or about the Multicalender ?
@Martin4056 I haven't done much w/it but so far I don't have any major objections. The new fonts and bright colors look a little childish, and the guests will pay range is completely pointless, but I haven't tried any other functions yet.
Hi @Emiel1 Not sure about those terms, I'm referring to the calendar that I use to track my bookings.
Hi @Mark116 I just wonder about why change the formatting like this? Visually I find it quite confusing and hard to follow, e.g. the lines that designate a booking don't continue from the right side of the page to the left side, that is, there is a break where the Sunday is blank, despite it being a part of a booking. I suppose I'll have to get used to it.
@Martin4056 When you go to the calendar, what is shown is the multicalendar. What you want to use,as you only have one listing, is the monthly calendar.
To find that, where you see the multicalendar, you will see the name of your listing to the left of it. Click on that, and your monthly calendar will appear. It not the least bit intuitive to find.
@Martin4056 Agree it’s completely unusable now. I’m thankful the calendar in the app hasn’t changed for the worse. That’s the one I use now.
Airbnb has never cared a whit about what works for hosts.
@Sarah977 it’s not the multi calendar that’s the problem. Maybe you don’t have the new version yet, or haven’t seen it if you aren’t hosting now.

@Colleen253 I'll have to look. It's been a couple of weeks since I accessed my calendar and it hadn't changed aside from no longer showing a Block button, just Available to toggle on or off.
And because I'm not taking bookings now, I haven't seen how reservations now appear.
There's an old saying:'if it ain't broke - don't fix it'. Does anyone know how to add an infill colour to bookings as the new display is all white and thin black lines - not very helpful really?
It's shocking and not very well thought out for those who have visual challenges.
They have also made it so it displays over the whole page and one has to adjust it sideways to fit in the right hand side info.
Please bring this feedback to the attention of the IT team involved.
Thanks
Great idea, how can we contact the IT Team??
They really have to change back to the previous settings!!
Then work on any inprovements forward from there.
the new calendar format is totally user unfriendly. Why is Airbnb fixing what works?
The fonts in the month view are far too small for the day of the week and dates. While the most useless info, the amount the guest paid, is bold and readable. The year view is better and I'm using that. Note the font sizes between the two and visible strikeout. The scaling is also way off in the month view.
The previous version of month view was so functional that's all I used and never made a mistake.
I am a graphic designer, this ne calendar is a totally retrograde step.
Booked visitors need to be in a block colour, I cannot understand the thinking behind changing that.
This calendar format now takes 5 clicks to do what I used to do in 2. Then the calendar defaults back to a different unit than I made the calendar changes, so more clicks to check the dates! It's like they want Host's to make a mistake on bookings - so they can charge for a double booking. That's Airbnb programming progress - NOT!
I am both a host and guest - the old format gave important information, simply. As a guest I miss the filter for "entire place" instead of the multi-offerings (barn, treehouse, yurt....). It is a mistake to have removed the number of reviews along side the rating - very important to me as a guest scrolling and as a host acknowledged my achievement. The elimination of the descriptive title (downtown, great beach, wood-burning fireplace....) again removed good information for scrolling.
You changed something that did not need changing - it was important information simply presented. The new format has a whiff of deception.
