Hi!
I am a new host. I was lucky to get a long term reservation very quickly- good karma 🥰
I would appreciate getting feedback from this great community regarding my listing’s photos- anything I should change? Do you think they are good quality photos? I am thinking of checking the professional photo shooting option offered by Airbnb
Also- while I do love the bougainvillea image of the listing (it’s the property facade)- do you think it is the best photo to advertise the unit? Or maybe I should use one of the beach photos included? (My place is a 15 minute drive to one of the most beautiful beaches in the area)

thank you!

Buongiorno @Gaby373
I took a quick look at your listing and it seems to me that you could improve your photos, here are some tips on how to best photograph your home:
hope it helps

I am absolutely no expert when it comes to photos, but to me they look fine.
But i am sure somebody else in this community will be able to advise.
IMHO the photo of the livingroom should be the main photo.
That photo is normally shown to guests in the search results.
Regarding bedroom i suggest to add the type/size of bed (options in editor) to it,
then the "where you sleep" section will be added to the listing.
Regarding your pricing:
You currently offer 20% new host discount and extra 10% if the "no refundable" option is choosen by guests.
Thank you @Emiel1 for your detailed feedback!
do you think the discounts should be reconsidered? These were given as suggestions for a new listing
Gaby
I just mentioned them as sometimes new host are not fully aware they offer those discounts.
Another thing i noticed: your maximum stay is set to 29 nights. Airbnb considers "short term stays" as upto 27 nights. Above 27 nights they are "long term stays", with different rules/policies and the monthly discount (if set) is applied to it.
Thank you for the clarification @Emiel1
i saw that the discount was automatically offered for the first 3 guests. I am learning a lot in this forum and the other resources- very useful!
Have a nice weekend

Hey Gaby!
Congrats on the long term reservation!! That really is amazing karma 🥰
About your photos—the bougainvillea image is absolutely gorgeous, but since you can't really see the building, it might not be the best one for the cover photo since guests want to see the actual house right away.
But the inside photos are really nice! Honestly, everything looks great and very detailed. And I love that you added the beach photos! Definitely keep those since being 15 mins away from a beautiful beach is such a huge selling point.
If you're thinking about the professional Airbnb shooting, it could be worth it just to take it to the next level, but you already have a super great start.
Good luck with your first guests!
Thank you @Emma4650 ! Will revisit my photos and consider maybe switching with one of the rooms
appreciate your support

Hi Gaby,
you have great pictures! I’d rearrange them a bit to have picture 15 (I think) of the living room as the cover, followed by the rooftop.. etc. try to highlight the best areas of your place and insert in between pictures of what’s outside: beach, garden.. etc.
I’d be happy to discuss further!
Best,
Alanoud
Thank you @Alanoud2 !
I will review the order and see how to optimize the cover
Have a nice weekend

Hi @Gaby373 ,
Congratulations on your new listing! It looks beautiful and very unique. I’d echo the others commenting here about your primary photo. While the flower photo is beautiful, you may get more views with a great shot of the living room or common area. I’d personally recommend professional photography but it’s definitely up to your own preference. It’s a one time cost that can change the way everyone sees your listing.
Good luck to you! Enjoy the learning the first year, it’s a fun rollercoaster!
thank you @Michael9528 will retake some photos and implement the prposed change
have a nice weekend

Hi @Gaby373 ,
I took a look at your photos. I honestly don't see anything that needs changing. The images are excellent. They showcase both the interior and the surrounding area beautifully, creating a very inviting and authentic impression of the property.
The quality of the photos looks very good to me. The spaces are bright, clean, and well-presented, and the overall gallery tells a coherent story about what guests can expect. While professional photography can sometimes provide a slight improvement, I don't think your current photos are holding the listing back in any way.
As for the cover photo, I actually like the bougainvillea image very much. It is distinctive, memorable, and gives the property its own character. Many listings have beach photos as their main image, but your facade surrounded by bougainvillea helps your place stand out from the crowd. Guests can always discover the nearby beaches as they browse through the rest of the gallery.
And by the way - what a beautiful place! The property and the surroundings look absolutely lovely.
Wishing you continued success with your hosting journey and many happy guests!
Best regards,
Marcin
