I am a pet friendly host and believe I get more bookings because of it. I noticed since the recent announcement that AirBNB will start allowing pet fees it's now no longer a searchable / selectable item? Anyone else notice this? Believe it used to be next to smoking allowed checkbox which I DO NOT allow.

@Graham426 @Michael-James1 As @April403 mentioned, the option to find listings that accept pets is still available - if you start a search, you should be able to see something like this. Let us know if you don't!

I have noticed that Allow Pets is no longer visible on the website and the Android App. This is pretty annoying as it is really cumbersome to scroll to the bottom of each individual listing to look for a low percentage item.
I don't have the time to do that so I guess I'll be looking for accommodations elsewhere.
Also pretty stupid that the Airbnb Help page directs you to the section I screenshotted above. At least change your help page to better assist customers.
"You add a pet in the same area as how many guests. With a pet added, only pet friendly results show up." found this one reddit and it worked for me ^^
Correct, it’s there now. But a couple months back, they hadn’t added that to the guest number area yet, at least on the iOS app.
I've used this and its taken me from really depressed to back to normal again!!! THANK YOU for bothering to share Sarah4450
From Sydney Australia: I can't believe they've removed the pet friendly option. This surely must be bad for business and horrible for both guests and hosts. It's totally unusable for us now. Searching for a property we really like then repeatedly finding 'no pets' in house rules isn't just prohibitively time consuming, it's also very depressing. Please re-instate this function asap!!
Yep, moving on to something else. See ya airbnb!
I am beyond frustrated looking for properties that allow pets. Please put the filter back!!
I was knocking my head against the wall trying to find the pets allowed toggle! Glad its not just me being dumb. Why the heck did they remove it?
Noticed the same when I began searching for this season's vacation spots. To be honest I have recently stopped looking at airbnb for a rental because of it. I go nowhere without my dogs. I have always loved airbnb and rented many places through them over the years. I take furnitire covers and bed covers with me in case one of my dogs tries to jump on the furniture. I never leave the dogs unattended in the rental. And, I bring my own vacuum and vacuum daily and dust daily to be sure there isn't any dog hair accumulating before my final cleaning of the home before I leave.
Airbnb has done a great disservice to both owners and renters by changing this feature. I don't have the time to search through hundreds of properties to find a pet friendly location for my vacations. I did try VRBO but their added fees are ridiculous so I don't use them either. However, I am finding that just an internet search for pet friendly vacation rental homes and cabins is getting easier to do so I have been trying that recently. Such a shame that airbnb has chosen to make this change. They will surely lose a great deal of business and cost the owners a great deal of financial loss also.
Same. I am an avid Airbnb user but its too difficult so I'll be using VRBO and homeaway instead
@Robin-and-Danny0 @Nancy1687 The Airbnb way is to specify the number of people and pets in the search and then you will only get pet friendly listings.
That is nowhere on my listing, unless you mean after you choose a particular place, that's useless.
@Dennis241 It's part of the search process - when you search, you can input a number of guests travelling, and add pets, so it only shows you listings that fit those criteria!

I hope this makes sense 🙂

it might be time to sell my airbnb stock. I cant invest in something that doesn't allow me to filter for my dog. I have no clue why the higher ups would even think of doing such a thing.......
