Only allowing 2 night Friday and Saturday night stays and requiring 3 nights all other nights
I feel like there has been a change in the algorithm or bug introduced lately. I've already targeted only allowing 2 night stays that are Friday and Saturday night stays. I controlled this both through the listing settings and also the calendar settings by setting only Friday and Saturday to accept 2 night stays. Now with those settings I was trying to do some test bookings and found guests were not able to book us anymore for Friday and Saturday night only. To get that working again I also had to open up Sunday as a day on the calendar when we allowed 2 night bookings. This seems very counterintuitive and I feel like this behavior changed recently in the last month or two because I seem to remember always managing the calendar in this fashion in the past with allowing 2 night stays on Friday and Saturday night, but Sunday being restricted to 3 nights. Anyone else notice a change in behavior recently and find this really counterintuitive?

Hi @Michael5689
Welcome to the community 😊
The system wouldn't allow to have two different preparation times setting in the same listing calendar.
You could possible describe in the announcement and control by booking request, indicating your ideally guest for ‘only allowing 2 night Friday and Saturday night stays and requiring 3 nights all other nights’

It was more of a temporary bug in their system I think. It is working now that if I only want 2 night stays to happen on a Friday and Saturday night that setting the calendar availability that way in AirBNB works again. I have checked this out now by searching for my home myself as a guest to confirm Saturday and Sunday night 2 night stays are no longer possible.

Hi
I’m new to Airbnb so just learning as I go along and it’s great having the community hub - thank you.
My question regarding 2-3 night stays.
When booking 3 nights min on the weekend do the guest check out on the Sunday or Monday?
I have heard some holiday let companies book for 2 but charge for 3?
Thanks
Chris

You can set up the requirements to restrict check in days to certain days or not on certain days. AirBNB will block out whatever the guest requests, so it won't really be possible to open up one day on the calendar if they only need it for two nights. The better idea is to have them make the 3 day reservation, then change the reservation terms to 2 nights for the same cost if the guest is open to it.
