Hi @Bhumika ,
Thank you! My property is newly renovated, so at this stage cleaning is a joy - everything still feels fresh. But I know the time will come when silicone and grout start looking tired, and I’m ready to replace them right away. I’ve learned that many guests are very sensitive to the condition of grout and silicone, so I designed the kitchen with high upstands instead of white grout lines - far easier to keep spotless.
After vacuuming and changing beds, I go over everything with sticky rollers - a small one for the bedding and a large one for the floors. I’m always shocked by how much they still pick up, even after a thorough clean! Usually it takes three or four sheets before the roller finally stays white. It’s become my secret (and slightly addictive) finishing touch.
I also check the shower drain every turnover, and wipe the tops of wardrobes, picture frames, doors, panels, and radiators - it takes only 10 minutes but I think it is worth it, as my aim is for even the most detail-oriented guest to walk in and feel satisfied.
Warm regards,
Jo
