Hi @Emilie  & @Kashyap5 ,

I took a look at your Airbnb listing and have some candid feedback to help enhance its appeal and performance:

Photography:

Lighting: The current photos appear quite dark, which can make spaces seem less inviting. Brightening them up will significantly improve the visual appeal. If retaking them isn't an option, at least edit them to brighten them up (and decrease shadows).

Camera Angles: Ensure the camera is level when taking photos; tilting it up or down can distort the room's proportions. Shooting into the corners of rooms can also add depth and make spaces appear larger. This is the number one mistake most people make and it's so easy to fix (and immediately elevate your pictures!).

Details: Small touches matter. For instance, always close toilet seats before photographing bathrooms. They present much nicer in photos.

Photo Descriptions and Alt Text:

Add captions to each photo to provide context and help potential guests understand what they're viewing. I know you added the text onto the photos, but you want it in the captions, too.

If you didn't already, add alt text for each image to improve accessibility and SEO. This practice aids visually impaired users and can enhance your listing's visibility in search results. I know Airbnb's algorithm loves it.

Lead Photo Selection:

Your lead photo is crucial as it's the first impression potential guests will have. Currently, none of the photos stand out as particularly captivating. Consider selecting an image that showcases the most attractive feature of your property. If necessary, edit the photo to enhance it.

General Tips:

Stage your space thoughtfully before photographing. Declutter and add small touches like fresh flowers or neatly arranged books to make the space feel welcoming.

Consider hiring a professional photographer if possible. High-quality images can significantly impact booking rates.

Don't be afraid of regularly updating listing photos.

Wishing you the best of luck with your hosting endeavors!

Cheers,
Andrew

Hi @Kashyap5

Congratulations on your new listing! Is hospitality a new venture for you, or is this the latest of many experiences in that industry?

I'd love to see what a few of our other hosts think of your listing: @Chippy3 @Andrew-and-Jeremy0 @Jon5060 @Jess2718 @Karen1 @Joe771 do you have any suggestions?

Thanks everyone 🌟
