Hi everyone I am a new host and would appreciate any feedback as to how to improve my listing and booking rate which has been...
I am a host for 10 plus years. Wondering if there is a way I can send the Airbnb link directly to guests to review my property after they leave in the morning
Hello @Robt0
Why not just send them a reminder via the Airbnb message system when you thank them for their stay? All the reservation details will be there anyway for the guest and host and remember that Airbnb sends guests at least 3 reminders to review you too. The reality is that some guests just don't want to bother with leaving a review
Why not just answer the question I asked. I do already send a reminder. I asked if I can send the link right to them
then they have it. They. Don’t have to wait or look for it. to come. My opinion the sooner the better. Let them be the judge if they like it or not. Not have someone else prejudge what they like. Ty.
Well happy New Year to you too! There was no prejudgment on my part and why not just be polite when someone takes the trouble to second guess what you meant?
Why do you feel the need to be rude to a fellow host who is trying to help you @Robt0 .
hardly encourages other hosts to help you .
You could have reached out to Airbnb Customer Support with your question? What did they say?
To my knowledge, there's no option for Hosts to send a "link" — that feature is controlled by Airbnb. I agree with @Kia272 that many guests simply don’t leave reviews... sometimes that’s actually a good thing.
Most Hosts and guests here value the information shared on the forum, and often learn something new — I know I have. I also agree that you'll find Hosts here willing to assist whenever they can and may bring up points you hadn’t thought of. Being rude typically doesn’t end well, and you might miss out on helpful information
I was not rude. I replied with the same exact words she used. I didn’t know I have to thank someone for ignoring the question I been doing it for a long time. (10 ) years. 7 properties 2300 stays with just Airbnb not to mention. Bookin. Expedia. Trip advisor. VRBO. And a steady 4.7 to 4.9
I was just curious if it was possible. If they don’t know they don’t have to reply.
that easy. I didn’t think it was possible but was thinking about it.
my way. They have the link on the car on the way home. All the family is there to have their input to. Everything g is fresh in their mind.
the wat it is now. They have to wait hours. Then go look for it. When they get home many distraction re: Playing with the dog. Unpacking and laundry. Going to boyfriend or girl friends house partying with neighbor or a multitude of other distractions that are far more important to them Then tge survey.
Yiou have to admit sometimes really good customers miss the 14 day deadline.
I have a motel. 7 rental cabins. And a campground. I have begun using AI. To do follow up. Letters. Thank you ketter
propertu maps and a satisfaction letter already.
I’m thinking Airbnb customers do my survey. There won’t do Airbnb. So I thought to combine them.
I didn’t know gettting the answer was so dramatic.
it is hard for one person. On busy months nor just weekends can stay on top of the follow up.
as far as Airbnb. Help. If you call them 5 times you will get out on hold 10 times and 3-4 different answers. Trying to move forward with AI. Want to keep every customer happy and coming back. Thank you for your help.
@Robt0 Kind of hilarious, actually. They get a prompt within hours after they leave, so why is a few hours going to make a difference? Guests get annoyed when hosts pester them for reviews, so be careful what you wish for.
What's not hilarious is being rude to @Joelle43 , who offers extremely helpful advice to many in the community center.
Not really so hilarious. I have 7 rental houses. A motel. And a campground. I just took on AI to handle. Thank you letters. Follow up letters. Propert maps. House rules. And they want to send satisfaction survey. To all my guests. I think it’s a great idea to get the data and follow up I’ve done over 2000 Airbnb stays. (10years) But also bookin. Expedia. VRBO. Trip advisor. Etc. the reason I ask is. If the Ai survey gets there first. They might not respond when Airbnb survey gets tgere later .
I thought if AI. Sent Airbnb survey. That would help. Or if I should take my satisfaction survey away from Airbnb customers. And send to the rest. So you see it’s a real question. For a real reason. Not so hilarious now
happy new year.
@Robt0 So now you're asking them for a satisfaction survey in addition to the AirBnB review? That's an excellent way to annoy guests.
And remember that it works both ways. If you do this and the guests didn't have a great stay, that will be fresh in their minds when they get that instant prompt for a review.
I did find it funny that although the AirBnB review process is as simple as it can be, you want to mess with it.
And saying that you weren't rude doesn't make it so. All of the responses here in defense of Joelle perceived your response as rude.
