QR Codes for links to video — are they allowed?

As hosts, are we allowed to post a QR code in a property’s photo gallery so that potential guests can click on it and see a video of our property? I’d like to link it to YouTube or Facebook, where we will have property videos so that guests can do a virtual “walk through” of the home before booking. I don’t want to get in trouble with AirBnB though, if this isn’t allowed. Thanks in advance for any insight!

@Taryn20,

This forum consists of hosts and guests, and no one is an Airbnb employee, including the Community Managers.  @Helen3 gave you the correct and best answer.  However, you should always consult the Airbnb Help Center to review formal policies: https://www.airbnb.com/help.  I searched the word "video", and one of the results was the content guideline: https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/546.

Hi @Taryn20 no you can't link to video content in your listing to avoid some unscrupulous hosts using video content to promote direct bookings .

but there's nothing to stop you sending a QR code or video link once the guest has booked.

Yes, I saw the response—thank you! I was hoping to receive a response from an AirBnB employee to ensure it’s correct, as I’ve seen SO many QR codes on other listings…So I’m just curious why they seem to be allowed on some listings? Appreciate any confirmation you can provide. 🙂
