Renting separate rooms to separate guests

Hello 

I live in Hollywood California and I own a home with 3 bedrooms. I sleep in one and sometimes I rent one on airbnb. I have that third bedroom empty. Can I rent it to another guest at the same time? I would create another listing for that 3rd bedroom. Is it allowed by airbnb and the city?

@Sandra5463 It is certainly allowed by Airbnb. I don't know what your city rules are though. If you do have a 2nd listing then switch on pro tools from your account and you will get the multi-calendar which will make two listings easier to manage.

Hello @Sandra5463,

Mike has given you great advice. According to the short-term rental (STR) regulations in Los Angeles, are you allowed to rent a room in your house? If so, have you tried switching to Pro Tools to manage your listing’s calendar more easily?

My personal experience, I started with one guest room in my shared home.  Full this month 3 Guest rooms and  made some minor modifications to my den and that is rented.  So I have 4 seperate Guests in my home this month. lol

I think it is more a matter of what your market is and setting your enviroment that you are comfortable.  My market is all comtract workers usually solar farms, a nuclear plant and the electric company near my home.  Which means longer stays so not frequent turnovers.  I furnished my rooms with private tvs, private minifridges and mini cabinets for snacks and such.  So I don't have 4 different strangers sharing my fridge or my pantry haha.  

My set up and my market most of my guests I may say hi and bye or I don't even see for a week.  They are busy.
