Should I have separate accounts for hosting and travelling?

I created two accounts by accident. Does it matter that my travelling account is 12 years old and has some activity on it and my hosting account is brand new with no activity? Should I ask AirBnB to combine the new and old?

Are both the accounts linked? I think Airbnb do prefer the guest and host accounts to be joined, so I would suggest reaching out to the Airbnb customer service team and they can help.
