I have a single room listing but when i do a search and filter by type of place "room" it does not show in the AirBNB search results. I believe it is to do with the AirBNB Elevate system so last year in September i tried to add "Private Room" but they rejected it but with no reason?

Hi @Paul75
Sorry to hear you're having some issues with the 'Rooms' category. Have you followed the steps in this guide "Make Sure You Are in Rooms Category!" from @Joan2709?
There is also requirements to be listed as a 'Room', you can find them in this article here: Listing a Room. I've grabbed the criteria to share below
What’s required for your Room to display properly on Airbnb
For your space to show up when a guest searches for Rooms, it needs to be categorised as a Room in your listing, plus it needs to meet these criteria:
- The space listed is a bedroom, with a door, that is intended to be exclusively used by the guest during their stay
- The guest shares access to at least one of these common spaces: bathroom, kitchen or living room
- The listing’s Host must be a person using their own name – no business names, nicknames or other names are permitted – because guests are sharing your home and it’s important that they know who their Host is
- Private rooms in multi-unit buildings, apartments, townhouses and flats may be considered private rooms if they satisfy the requirements
Please let me know if the issue persists once you've checked all the requirements 😊
True but I have that set to Room
Hello @Paul75
This is a known issue for home share hosts ever since Airbnb did away with categories and there are many posts on the subject to be found here by using the search bar just above. I found the most recent one for you to gather more information on the subject:
https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/Ask-about-your-listing/Listings-not-showing-as-quot-Rooms-quot-b...
But yes, frustrating to say the least,
Joëlle
I set my type to room within a house under Property Type on each Listing. I have used Elevate but not to catorgize Room, personally. I don't know if the Airbnb Platform automatically submits to Elevate I haven't received a rejection so that has worked for me.
I have already done this but thanks anyway
I have made some changes to my profile as suggested by CoPilot so fingers crossed that works.

Hi @Rebecca , I can confirm my room meets all the requirements. I checked AirBNB Elevate website this morning and it has changed to "no listings" I can only assume that because of my changes it has been removed for reindexing?
I thought the Elevate website was all AI but from asking Copilot it says apparently there is human involvement. Which would explain why it takes so long to fix anything.
Oh no, sorry to hear that. I'm not too sure if I'm honest @Paul75, but I can forward your message to the Airbnb team to look into a little deeper. I may not hear back myself though, the team will likely get in touch with you.
Thanks for your help but from previous experiences they haven't got a clue so no thanks
I was hoping someone in the community had a known fix.
Hi Rebecca, the issue has been resolved now. What I found useful was to use MS edge and load the CoPilot AI companion app which can read the current page. Then load my AirBNB profile and ask it what changes I needed to make!
The only other issue now is that I haven't had a single enquiry which is a different issue to the one that was raised here.
