I own my own home that has been hosted on Airbnb by a management company. I have ended my contract and served the relevant notice period but have two bookings left which I will honour. There is no availability on this old listing for new bookings and won’t be.
I want to list my property on air bnb and manage this myself. I will book out the two dates as unavailable that have been booked on other listing. My listing will
be the only one with any availability. I have asked the host to snooze their listing ( so only the current remaining guest can see it but they haven’t yet) Can I list my own listing of the same property which I own or will that be counted as a duplicate listing
Hello @Nicole3946 ,
As far as I know, if there are no issues with the initial listing, such as safety concerns or negative reviews, you can duplicate a listing as long as it has a different title, description, availability, pricing, and preferably distinct pictures.
It’s advisable to review Airbnb’s policies to ensure compliance. Be cautious, as creating a duplicate of a listing with reported issues goes against Airbnb’s policies and can lead to removal.
Given the complexities involved, it’s crucial to proceed with caution, as not all customer service representatives may fully understand the nuances of such situations. If the upcoming bookings are imminent, it might be prudent to wait until they conclude, have the company delist your property, and then create a new listing yourself.
@Guy991 Thanks the bookings are 3 and 6 months away so wouldn’t want to wait until after, The are no issues with the company previous listing the house is beautiful and managed it well and between us we consistently achieved 5 star
reviews from everyone . The description is the name of my house and the photos I paid for from a professional photographer so would want to use . I am hoping they will snooze their listing but just checking options in case for some reason they choose not to
