While I was on the phone with an experience ambassador due to an issue with my experience listing being unpublished as a result of the new Elevate platform, I received an email confirming a reservation for me.
The email was to confirm a reservation on my account for $534 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania starting May 10. I did not make the reservation. No one has access to my Airbnb account and I do not use public devices.
The funny thing is, I have an experience that I have to host in my city on May 10.
I reached out to the host explaining what I wrote here and he told me to have Airbnb resolve it. Once I looked at the listing that was booked under my account and saw the 3.4 review score, I understood why I got such a lackluster and unhelpful response from the host.
I looked at the logged in devices and nothing showed up outside of my devices. It’s almost like the booking was made from someone at Airbnb. Maybe I pissed off one of the reps I have been dealing with over the last few days trying to get my experience listing back up and running again.
it’s insane that in addition to the new platform changes causing my listing to be unpublished, I now have over $500 in charges for a reservation I didn’t book. It went from bad to worse.
Has anyone ever experienced having someone make a reservation with their account?
