Start by checking short term rental regulations to see if you are eligible to host in New York @Asif89

you would need to carry out your own market research to understand how much you can charge and how many days a year you are likely to let out at to see if it's likely to be profitable @Asif89

I don't know - you could ask on your local host group and see if there is a cohost you could pay to do your local market research for you @Asif89
Personally I would never rely on research from a third party to make major business decisions such as whether to develop a short term rental business .
Particularly when it's easy enough to do your market research yourself as lots of software options you can buy that help you with the research and pricing .

@Asif89 You really need to put in a bit of effort yourself in researching, designing, planning, managing and fulfilling your idea. Otherwise you will have no real feel for this business and your place will be soul-less and uninspiring. It will also be much less rewarding for you and for your guests.
Read through the many posts on this community board and you will find lots to learn. You can search for topics, or browse at random. You will learn plenty either way.
Just be aware that hosting is not easy money. It is hard work and takes commitment and patience, tolerance and imagination. Also be prepared for no real or genuine support from Airbnb. ABB provides plenty fine words, but lots of hassle and manipulation of hosts. Just read people's experiencing on here and you will see what it's all about. Many guests are wonderful and appreciative, but a good percentage are the opposite.

@Fiona256 Is in Scotland you need a cohost in your area who understands the STR regulations in New York and can be on hand if there are issues
you can use the Airbnb cohost database to find experienced Airbnb cohosts with good reviews in your area .

@Asif89No thanks, I would not like to become a co-host for you. I am in Scotland and your property is in New York. You would need someone local.
