Hello hosts 👋

Today, I want to dive into a topic that’s super important but could be overlooked - your listing title!  How important is the listing title and can it make a significant difference in attracting potential guests?

In particular, what specific details do you highlight in your listing title? Can a few carefully chosen words really make a significant difference?

I would love to hear your experiences! What has worked wonders for you in your listing title? Have you tried something that didn’t quite go as planned? We've got so many experienced hosts here who have tried and tested different approaches over the years. I would love to hear about your experiences; both the successes and the challenges you faced along the way.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon!
Rebecca 🌸

As a relatively new host I am always learning. you try and think of everything but there are always guest questions that arise. My goal as a host is to provide a service but make it as hands off as possible. So the best advice I have is to constantly update your listing as you have more questions that you didnt originally think of. Most recent additions for me included ‘no steps anywhere in the property’ as I had this question 3 times.

also most recently I discovered I was losing money on propane for pool heating when the temperature dropped. This is a learning curve so we clearly state the normal rate but now also include the temperature we set it to and include a note saying ‘subject to change’

Hei, Rebecca.

Hi, Rebecca.

I have a headline on my ad that I hope will capture those who want a slightly higher standard of stay and who then have special wishes for their holiday such as golf, beach and city break. Up until now, all my guests have wanted just this. For the second year in a row, I have guests going to a wedding. With us, there is plenty of space for everyone to dress up for special occasions. Very nice to host such guests😊 Kind regards, Betty Rui

Hello Rebecca 👋

I hope you are well.. From my experience on the application, the most important tips for receiving the largest number of reservations are:

1. As for the price, reduce it for regular days and increase it on holidays and weekends, and make a discount for booking for a week and a bigger discount for booking for a month.

2.Pay great attention to the cleanliness of the apartment, especially the cleanliness of the beds. The apartment must smell fragrant.

3.Try to bring your guest's requirements in case he needs any additional piece of furniture such as a clothes hanger, iron or hair dryer.

I wish you a pleasant journey through the application and many bookings.

Hello @Abdulrahman57 👋

Thank you so much for sharing this information with us. I like the idea of the little extras - hairdryer, iron is essential for traveling and the same with clothes hangers.  I wondered what specific details do you highlight in your listing title?

Buongiorno @Rebecca ,

the listing title should highlight the most important features of your property, especially those that guests appreciate the most 😉

Thank you so much for sharing - what does your listing title include at the moment? Is it something that you update regularly, or does it mostly stay the same? 😊

Ciao @Rebecca ,

currently my title is "House overlooking canal - private hot tub & garden" and yes, I change it every now and then but not too often

As a relatively new host, I have found being truthful and not trying to make out your property is something it is not is the best advice I can give.  The feedback I get from the guests that have stayed at the house, say that the house is exactly as described and the pictures reflect what the house looks like.

That is wonderful feedback to have @Ayshe-At-Bliss-Vacation-Rentals0! and thank you so much for sharing it with us here, on the Community Center.

Does your listing title reflect what your guests might expect too?

Hi Rebecca

Yes and thankfully my  5 star reviews reflect that 🙂

I'm not that experienced at all!! I've described my home as warm and welcoming. I think that has worked...

That sounds perfect @Aine3350 - exactly what a guest would need. Is that in your title of your listing, or throughout the description also?
