What do you want to talk about?

I started hosting in June 2024, and so far, it's been an amazing experience! I’ve hosted some great guests and currently have a 4.93-star rating. While I’m really happy with the progress, I’d love to get to that perfect 5.0 rating and keep improving my listing.

For experienced hosts, what are your best tips to maintain a 5-star experience? Any advice on handling reviews, small touches that guests love, or things I might be overlooking?

Also, if you’ve had a similar journey, I’d love to hear your experiences! Let’s share insights and help each other grow.

Looking forward to your thoughts!

You are unlikely ever to get back to a perfect five . I have had a few hundred five star reviews over the last three years - nothing lower and am still only at 4.97 @Yolanda661 😀

Best to send an automated message PRIOR to the guest checking out asking them to contact you to address and issues to avoid a bad review and request a good review. Don't review guests immediately especially if you think they might leave a negative review. Also, send a message (automated) prior to check in and ask the guest to communicate any issues immediately. Unfortunately, guests love to stay silent, and leave a bad review after the fact. Also, an automated touchbase message a day or two after check-in can help.

Hello Yolanda! We are Cuban hosts and we have less than a year of experience and something that does not favor us is taking care of our guests from afar because we do not live in Cuba. Throughout my entire process I had a four-star review and that lowered my score a lot but little by little we have been rising until we reach 4.95 but it is a long process. Something that has helped me a lot is being super concerned and polite with my guests! Also, as the circumstances in Cuba allow me, I try to have the apartment well equipped with small necessary things and something super important. Whenever my guests leave, I tell them that if they have any suggestions of something we can improve, we will be happy to listen to them and try to improve it! My best wishes to you and many blessings.

Hi, I'm Behzad, it's very easy to get 5 rating  and guest satisfaction. Honesty in your work, sincere treatment of guests, and guidance in finding our home, and generally being in touch with guests, can help you achieve guest satisfaction.
