When is the busiest season in your area?

Hey there,

Whether you host on the coast or in the mountains, in a city or in a small village,  you will probably have certain seasons or periods which are busier with visitors than others.  It might be simply due to the weather or perhaps there is an event that brings lots of people to the area at that time.

When is your busiest season/period of the year and how do you prepare for it? It might just be starting now with the arrival of summer or maybe this is your quieter period!

This is our first year hosting as we all know, winter is slow season (June-August).

It will be busier hopefully as it get closer to summer.

Our "Shree Home Stay" is in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. Season here is From October to Feburary.... Mostly tourist in families stay my Place... We have welcomed few guests in August, September and March.

WeI have had no busy season. We have had very few guests when compared to our capacity.  Maximum of 4 visitors out of 22 available rooms. Most of the time we have zero guests

January through March is our busiest season in Grenada, Eastern Caribbean.  August is also busy as Carnival is in August.  We have just blocked off some time to re-paint and freshen up our apartment.  We want it to always look very clean.  Our outdoor pool is cleaned every day as leaves fall in it.  Pathways are swept every day.  Sheets and towels are changed every 4 to 5 days depending on the length of stay.  All questions asked are answered before the guests arrive.  We provide a complimentary airport pick-up as that gives us a little time to show what is available in walking distance and to get to know our guests a little bit.

March through to mid December is busy here in Ottawa Canada, sometimes right through to New Years.

Here in Canada we have 4 season , of course busiest is the summer. June to September i am always solid booked with my cottages. fall and winter lags but still rents for people who  like the snow season and ice lakes to walk and do ice fishing . start the wood  fire place nice and cozy relax with hot drinks .

I am on a very tiny Island in Scotland, this August has been very busy. For such a small place there are 20 properties on Airbnb, so more diverse visitors to the island. I think I maybe the only one who is doing single nights so while it can be more work day to day it's meant much more business. I hope to build on this and get more people coming in winter!
