Why Is Airbnb Suppressing My Superhost Listing? No Clear Answers from Support

Hi Fellow Hosts,

I need some insight and support because I’m experiencing a serious issue with my listing’s visibility, and Airbnb support has been unhelpful, vague, and dismissive.

I am a Superhost with over 60 five-star reviews and a Guest Favorite listing in Palm Springs, CA. My listing, The Adler in Palm Springs, has always been easily discoverable in guest searches—until recently.

Now, my listing is:
Buried in search results—even when using an available date range and guest count that matches my property’s capacity.
Only visible if a guest excessively zooms in or applies multiple filters.
Ranking below lower-rated listings and non-Superhost properties.

What Airbnb Support Is (Not) Saying:
I have repeatedly contacted Airbnb support, and here’s what they’ve done:

They refuse to investigate beyond generic “algorithm” explanations.
They keep sending me the same help article on search rankings, which I’ve already read.
They confirmed that my listing is “showing up” but ignored my proof that it is NOT appearing in normal searches.

Key Questions Airbnb Won’t Answer:
Why was my listing previously visible, but now requires zooming in or excessive filtering to appear?
Why are lower-rated, non-Superhost listings ranking above mine?
If Superhost and Guest Favorite status are supposed to improve visibility, why is my listing being suppressed?

This is not just a normal search fluctuation—it’s a dramatic and unexplained drop that is directly impacting my ability to host.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? How did you get Airbnb to actually investigate?

I would love to hear from fellow hosts who have dealt with listing suppression, unexplained visibility drops, or algorithm issues.

Thank you in advance for any advice or insights!

Hello @Mrs--Belvedere0 👋

Sorry to hear that you're having some issues with your listing visibility. I'e heard that Los Angeles is quite saturated with Airbnbs, so it's important to make your listing stand out from the rest- How to make your listing more competitive.

Have you had a look around on the Community? Lots of hosts find out lots of things about how their listing appears by asking for a listing critique!
