Lately I noticed that airbnb started to deduct certain amounts from payouts and refunding guests without even telling me. This is a big deal guys. Common, why would you do this? We had a guest who were staying in party of 10 people but booking was for 6 then when they admitted it and accepted alteration booking amount changed, then they requested a refund, since they did not understood how additional guests add to pricing. I just noticed that airbnb automatically granted refund to guest without even telling to us. Other guest who just decided not to stay with no specific reason stating that there was a fire alarm ringing outside got another refund for one night he was supposed to stay.
@AZ-Housing0 The trouble is does Airbnb believe you or the guest who left a recent review? I don't think it helps that your name is Cam, or is it A, or is it, according to reviews Kamal? All very confusing.
We have over 8 people in team. Over 30 properties all managed by company. The thing is I wasn't even made aware of these refunds. Just found them on payout after the fact.
From your comment you seem like a big fan of Pakistan. Ramadan Kareem and Zindabad Pakistan my friend 🙂
Hey @AZ-Housing0 ,
On a side note, did you happen to connect with dedicated Superhost Support regarding your concerns?
HI Bhumika, yes I have opened a case about it yesterday, but support haven't got back to me yet.
Hey @AZ-Housing0, I have reached out to the team as well if they have any updates! I hope someone reaches out to you soon.
"since they did not understood how additional guests add to pricing."
We just had a similar case and Airbnb's position was that would back us no matter what we want to do; cancel, make them pay or cut them a break; because - we have this on our 'Other details to note' as #1: ">> Reservations: It is important that the reservation is indeed accurate as to the number of guests coming ~well before~ arrival since it helps us plan for your stay."
