Why does a cancelled guest still show as 'arriving'?

My calendar still shows that a guest is arriving even though I cancelled the guest as he didn't conform to my covid inoculation rules.   So why is he still registered as arriving?

Please will someone answer my question?

Does the reservation shows as cancelled, eg as in  "list of reservations" ?

Otherwise cancellation is still pending or cancel has not been effective.

Why cancel (and get penalties from Airbnb) if guest is at fault ?

First ask the guest to cancel (and provide refund), if no succes ask Airbnb to cancel penalty-free.

@Patricia2151  If the host cancels a booking, the dates will be blocked so you can't rebook them. If a guest refuses to comply with your rules, it is up to the guest to cancel.

Your listing wording says "Please not that guests must be vaccinated" rather than "Please Note".
