Will this be rented out?

Hi,

My father has a detached, very large house, 2-3 bedrooms, large garden. Its currently not occupied as he has brought a holiday home and is living there refurbishing it.

The house will be rented out from end of July, but was wondering if i should put on AirBNB in the mean time, just so its occupied and being used?

The problem is its not a mega posh house, expertly decorated. Dad has done a lot around the house himself. Its very practical, and   clean though.

Would this work, or does it need to be decorated and look very modern to pt on AirBNB?

@Dave1457 The costs of insurance and complying with the fire risk assessment you would need for short term renting would likely outweigh any benefit gained from putting the place on Airbnb for only a few months.
