You Can Attach Videos to Scheduled Messages Now! 🎉🎉

I was able to attach videos today to our Scheduled Check-in Messages!!!   Yay!!!

 

Finally! Thank you Airbnb!

 

It is suggested to keep videos less than 30 seconds if possible.

Just started adding videos on how to use the Smart Locks...I'll see if it makes a difference and report back. The videos are short (10-15 seconds). 

 

Some guests just really have an issue following written instructions, or have a language barrier and can't understand the written instructions. Having a video doesn't require them to translate the instructions and just provides an easily understandable way for them to use the lock visually - no translation needed.

 

 

Thanks @Joan2709! I agree, people learn and take in information in so many different ways. Hopefully this will be a great visual aid for guests! 😊

 

Are your smart locks usually a sticking point for guests that are arriving? It'd be great to see an improvement!

Yes...many of the Hosts I work with in my consulting business have issues with guests understanding the smart locks. Some locks are easier to operate than others. Schlage Encode seems to be the easiest, followed by Yale Assure and August.

 

I think the videos will really solve that problem.

I can happily report the videos on using the smart lock are working! 👏🎉

 

Most recent guest had no issues using the lock and I even observed them referring to the video on their phone and following the steps in the video!

You are truly amazing!  Thank you for sharing this step-by-step, yes about time!  I was never going to get monetized on Youtube for sharing my video links that way and now maybe guests will watch our videos!

You are welcome! I was so happy to see this finally!

 

Already added videos/photos to the listings and guests are having no issues with the smart locks any more, or parking in the wrong place!

 

I give Airbnb credit for doing this (even if it took a loooong time to finally listen to all the Hosts requesting it). 

 

On other platforms, I am sending the videos via text or WhatsApp.
