Hi Sharyn,
Great start and the hardest part is done already with all the set up 😉 Congratulations! I would suggest adding a few accessories, like cushions and some decor items (e.g. a vase or flowers) on the shelves. Placemats on the dining table and if it's not too much trouble, then having a vase with fresh flowers or greeneries on your dining table will be appreciated by your guests. Doesn't need to be from flower shop, for my place I just cut a few green branches from the shrubs in the garden, so it doesn't cost me a dime, just a bit of time.
Also blackout blinds or curtains (at least in bedrooms) are usually expected by guests for a better sleep.
Good luck on your journey. You will find yourself adding a few things on the go, just listen to what your guests might suggest;)
Cheers,
Liza
Buongiorno @Sharyn68 ,
nice house and excellent photos! If you want to get more bookings after the initial period (when Airbnb boosts your listing) avoid the below restriction, good luck! Andrea
Thanks Andrea

Congratulations! Good Journey!
Maybe check Amenities It says No Hot Water and No Essentials (toilet paper, sheets, towels)
Thanks Marie
You 100% need a large area rug in the livingroom- it doesn’t feel homey. Add a set of colorful modern curtains to the kitchen and bedroom windows instead of just the mini blinds- which look cheap. Keep the blinds there though with the curtains. Add a large area rug under the bed in the attic space for layering and color- looks too stark. Look online for the proper rug under bed placement so you don’t get one that’s too small. I’d flip the bunk area rug in the other direction because it’s not big enough (not coming out the sides of the bed). It should come out the side of the bed by 18 to 24 inches at least so the guest can have a carpet below their feet- also to ground the room.
You should include towels, linens, toilet paper and paper towels. Perhaps a coffee bar- we buy coffee from Costco and my cleaner replenishes it when needed. We keep it in a large coffee jar.
But honestly I think you have a really nice inviting home!
Thank you Erin, I will flip the rug as you suggest.
@Sharyn68 You have a beautiful home — sometimes less is more. You don’t need rugs in every room; it keeps things simpler with less cleaning and maintenance. A coffee bar is a wonderful idea — guests love having easy access to coffee and tea.
In the bathroom, I recommend keeping a stack of makeup-specific washcloths (you can find them on Amazon — just make sure they say "makeup" on them). It helps guests avoid accidentally staining your regular towels.
It’s also a great idea to have a few books, a game console, or simple games for kids — things that are fun but easy to clean up, like trouble or card games.
If you have a light-colored carpet the bedroom, I suggest placing a darker indoor/outdoor rug over it to protect it from spills and dirt while still looking stylish.
Thank you Ezrah for your comments and suggestions. I did put in a few games for the guests yesterday as you suggested.
Cheers,
Sharyn
