how to take care of your property where you do not live?

I want to buy some Airbnbs in places we like to travel to IE,, Beach, lake so on

SO how do you make sure they are taken care of do I need to find a real estate company to manage them? we bought property in Az and was going to airbnb one of the but the management company wanted 43% so we decided to just rent it. Anyone have ideas to make it worth doing with out paying those high of fee's??

@Lin21975   Distance ownership can be tricky and expensive.  We researched the available property management companies as to their rates and services.  Due to the high cost of the management companies, all of whom wanted exclusive contracts and took a huge percentage of the rental earnings, we ended up hiring a maintenance / cleaning team who acted as our onsite staff.  We paid an hourly rate for their services.  Finding the right staff is not easy, but good people are out there.

You can also look for a co-host who will handle the maintenance and the turnovers.  Good luck!
