Please post your sincere appreciations to CEO Brian for his bright idea of starting a charity to raise money for hosts from kind-hearted guests. CEO Brian has been working so hard recently to come up with another solution to crush our dignity in this situation. We are all thankful to him because this was the only thing we needed at this stressful time...

Actually the Airbnb staff are being generous themselves if what Brian said is that they have contributed US$1m to a host fund to support affected hosts. As for the rest of what he said it was all about public relations. I am sure nobody really believes that hosts will be refunded US$250 million that he has committed - about 10% of that maybe at the most!  After his announcement the Covid-19 policy was extended to 31 May and he never mentiioned it. Okay, they are now refusing to accept cancellations beyond that date, or any made before 14 March as that impacts on their revenues too.
